Inside bar
A bar whose high and low are both within the previous bar's range.
What it shows
An inside bar has a high lower than (or equal to) the previous high and a low higher than (or equal to) the previous low. The whole bar fits inside the one before it.
It shows a day of smaller range after a larger one. The larger bar is called the mother bar.
How we find it
The same code that draws it on your chart follows these steps, with the same result every time.
- High today ≤ high yesterday.
- Low today ≥ low yesterday.
- Mark the bar.
- Show the mother bar's high and low.
Starting values: Compare previous bar. These are proposed and will be tuned on real price data before launch.
How to read it
- The gold zone is the mother bar's range.
- The smaller candle sits inside it.
- Lines mark the mother bar's high and low.
