ForecastViz: Live Stock Price Trends and Forecasts

Forecastviz draws the trendlines, support and resistance levels, and channels on any stock, for the time period you choose, so you can read a chart in seconds instead of drawing it by hand.

Why I built this

“I used to draw trendlines by hand. It was slow, and it was not a good idea. Two people can draw different lines on the same chart, and it is far too easy to draw the line you were hoping to see.

Trend analysis has to come from data, and it has to be through proven methods. So forecastviz finds the real swing highs and lows in the price history and calculates every line from them with plain math.

These charts are where my own research begins. From here I study each stock and work out my own forecast of where its price may go. That is why I built forecastviz.com”

What you get

Any ticker, any period

Search a ticker and choose anywhere from 3 months to 10 years. Shorter periods use daily candles, longer ones use weekly.

Several views of one stock

The strongest charts appear one below the other: trendlines, support and resistance, channels, moving averages, Fibonacci levels and more.

Lines you can check

Every line is calculated from the price data and sits on real swing highs and lows, so you can see exactly where it comes from.

How it works

  1. Get the pricesWe load the price history for your ticker and period.
  2. Find the swing pointsCode marks the real highs and lows where price turned.
  3. Draw the linesEach strategy calculates its lines from those points using plain math, not by eye.
  4. Show the bestLines are scored by how many swing points they touch and how long they have held, and the strongest are shown.

forecastviz does not predict prices. Instead, you can forecast the prices. Trendlines describe where price has been, and any line can break. Everything here is for education and is not investment advice. Prices may be delayed or contain errors, so check a trusted source before you trade.
