Fibonacci clusters
Prices where Fibonacci levels from several different swings land close together.
What it shows
One swing gives one set of levels. Several swings give several sets. When levels from different swings fall within a small distance, that price is a cluster, also called confluence.
The idea is that a price marked many times is watched by more people. A cluster is a count, not a proof.
How we find it
The same code that draws it on your chart follows these steps, with the same result every time.
- Draw retracement levels for the three most recent major swings.
- Collect all levels (23.6 to 78.6%).
- Group levels within 1% of each other.
- Show groups with at least 3 levels as a zone.
Starting values: Swings 3; Cluster distance 1.0% of price; Minimum levels 3. These are proposed and will be tuned on real price data before launch.
How to read it
- Cyan lines are individual levels.
- The gold zone is where several levels overlap.
- A thicker zone means more levels agree.
Status labels you may see
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| In a cluster | The last close is inside a gold zone. |
| Between clusters | Not inside any zone. |
What cancels it
Nothing cancels it. The zone moves when a new swing becomes the latest.
What traders check next
- How many levels are in the zone.
- Whether the zone also matches a swing high or low.
- The distance from the last price.
Limits
- With many levels, some will always overlap.
- The result depends on the swings picked.
- A cluster does not mean price will react.
Try it in forecastviz
- Open any ticker and choose Fibonacci and harmonic patterns → Fibonacci clusters in the left menu.
- Switch between 6M, 1Y, 3Y to see how the picture changes.
- Compare with Fibonacci retracement and Golden pocket on the same chart.
Questions
Why do clusters matter?
Some traders think that more watchers means more reaction. That is an idea, not a result.
How many swings are used?
The three most recent major swings.
